SFBU prohibits sexual misconduct. Sexual misconduct includes but is not limited to, sexual or gender-based harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual exploitation, and stalking. SFBU encourages reports of sexual misconduct so the complainant can receive the support they need and the University can respond appropriately.
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (20 U.S.C. 1681, et seq.) prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities operated by recipients of federal financial assistance. Title IX protects students from sex discrimination (including sexual violence and sexual harassment) in programs or activities operated by educational institutions that receive federal funding.
